Travelling across the world and experiencing its riches is the most fulfilling thing I have ever done and I don’t think I could possibly recreate the exalted feeling of discovery and exploration. From October 2016 to May 2017, I visited 12 countries across three continents with the sole purpose of finding myself. In the process, new friends and passions were found in the most random of places and circumstances. I have documented that particular trip on another blog that I ran whilst travelling (if you want to see my pictures and stuff from there, see fishytravels.org). This website will continue on the same tone where photography will be the main subject of my work, but it will always be accompanied by some form of contextual description with regards to the place, subject and photographic method used.
Starting photography during my travels allowed me to document my journey in a faithful way as well as provide an artistic perspective on the world and its wonders. It’s forced me to look at things from different angles and approach problems with creative methods. This in turn provoked a complete reversal in my mentality and my opinion on the world; whereas before I always focused on the negative side of things, learning new ways to tackle challenges in photography and in life has allowed me to see that hardship can foster a lot of good. This is a notion that has taken me years to understand and accept, ultimately leading me to contentment in my approach to life.
Pictured below is my girlfriend Becci and her dog Molly. These two will most likely heavily feature in this blog as they are my travel companions on most trips and they are wonderful subjects to photograph.

It began simply as a point and shoot hobby but soon developed into a passion. I am by no means a professional and I use fairly basic kit to achieve the pictures I am proud of presenting in this blog (I will make a dedicated post on the gear I use and how I choose each element).
I would argue my photography has developed tremendously since I first began in late 2016, but with thousands of pictures and plenty of amazing subjects to photograph, I can only hope I have made some progress. This blog will showcase some of my old works as well as more recent ones. I hope you enjoy it.
